WHAT IS HYDROPONICS

Basic Information

Hydroponic systems use full-spectrum LED lighting that mimics natural sunlight to provide optimal conditions for plant growth.
The system features a controlled water tank and pump to monitor water levels and optimize nutrient flow, promoting healthy roots. With precise control over light, water, and nutrients, plants grow 3-5 times faster. Simply place your seeds in the pods, select the appropriate grow mode according to the manual, adjust the extension pole height, and enjoy fresh harvests!

We recommend placing your device in an accessible indoor area. Avoid outdoor use or placing it under direct light sources that generate heat.

GETTING STARTED

Control Panel

Ensure the power supply is connected properly. Verify that the extension rod is fully inserted and flush with the bottom of the water tank. Improper insertion may disrupt power transmission.

Check if the low water indicator lights up. If it is, refill the water tank to the MAX mark. Then press the “TIME/CLOCK” button to turn off the indicator.

Watering

You can add water through the water lid. Simply open the water lid located on your indoor gardening system and pour in clean water as needed.

Simply fill water to the 'MAX' mark on the water indicator or water lid. For specific watering requirements, please consult your instruction manual. Regularly monitor the water level to ensure it remains within the recommended range.

If your device doesn't have a level indicator, it means your model doesn’t include this feature. Please check the water level through the viewing window or water lid and refill as necessary. Additionally, the indicator will turn red when the water level is too low, reminding you to refill the tank.

LED Lighting and Pump

This may happen if water enters the connection point between the water tank and the extension rod, where the electrical contacts are located.
Moisture in this area can cause a short circuit.
Tip: Always keep the connection area dry when adding water.

The grow light operates on a default schedule of 16 hours on and 8 hours off. If the light is off, it may be in the pre-set sleep mode.

Yes, you can customize the light-on schedule and turn it off anytime. Simply press and hold the “POWER“ or ”MODE” button for 3 seconds to temporarily turn the light on or off (please refer to your instruction manual for specific instructions).

- Please confirm the pump cord is connected and there is sufficient water in the tank.

- Note that the pump operates on a cycle of 15 minutes’ active followed by 1 hour and 45 minutes of rest in every 2 hours. If the pump is inactive, it may be in its scheduled rest period.

- The pump will automatically shut off if the water level drops below its minimum operating height. Always maintain adequate water in the tank to ensure proper pump function.

The pump is designed to operate quietly. Unusual noise may be caused by:
(1) Dirt or debris in the pump—clean it to remove any blockages.
(2) Low water levels—refill the tank as needed.

DAILY USE

Plant Care

Each seed is unique. Some seeds germinate in a few days while others may take several months. Mold and mildew typically develop from poor water quality or algae buildup, both of which can stunt plant growth. For best results: 1. Use softened water if your tap water is hard; 2. Maintain the LED light 4-6 inches (10-15 cm) above plants for optimal growth.

Healthy roots are milky white and will grow and spread in the water tank as the plant matures. Strong roots indicate a healthy plant. To check, gently lift the seed pod or grow deck and inspect inside. Regular rinsing and refilling help maintain healthy roots and overall plant growth.

Please make sure you’re using high-quality seeds. Keep in mind that germination times vary - some seeds sprout in days while others take months. Even plants of the same species will grow at different rates and sizes. Regular pruning of leaves and roots promotes healthier, fuller growth, but never remove more than one-third of the plant at once.

First, carefully remove the plant along with its roots and the sponge. Then, clean the pod thoroughly before inserting it into the gardening system. Finally, place a new seed in a new sponge and continue with your regular care routine.

DEVICE MAINTENANCE

Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures healthier plant growth in your hydroponic system. We recommend cleaning it after each planting cycle.
(1) Remove any plant debris and roots.
(2) Check the filter for root buildup, clean it thoroughly, rinse it thoroughly with water, and reinstall it.
(3) If the filter is worn out, replace it to extend the pump’s lifespan. Be careful not to accidentally discard the filter while removing roots.

To keep your plants healthy, we recommend emptying the water from the bowl and refilling it with fresh water and liquid plant food after each planting cycle or every 1-2 months.

If you see dirt in the water tank, wipe the interior with a soft, damp cloth or wet wipes. Then, turn off and unplug the device, remove the light board and rod, and rinse the tank with clean water. Avoid using detergents as they may harm plant growth. Keep the light board, rod, power port, and the control panel dry to prevent circuit damage.

We recommend replacing sponges after use as they lose effectiveness and may harbor bacteria. Pods and grow domes, however, can be reused when properly cleaned.

Unstable operation may be caused by incorrect installation or improper use. Please carefully read the manual or watch the installation video. If the issue persists, feel free to contact our after-sales service (support@suncoze.com) for assistance!
